Im installing a new cooker extractor unit in my kitchen that comes with a 100mm venting kit. Unfortunately the drilled bore hole in the wall is 100mm and its just impossible to squeeze the ducting thru this.

Is there an easier way? Drilling another bore hole is out the question or is there such a thing as a smaller vent tube, say 90mm. If so where can I get it.

Thanks

Get some thing like visquene (Sp.?) or some other thick dpc plastic or if you are rich thin aluminium. You will need thickness of wall+ 2" by at least 18". Roll it up into a tube, stuff it into the hole and unroll it, make sure the overlap joint is at the top and stick some tape along the joint. Trim to exact length. Stiff ali foil works as does the underfloor aluminised plastic based insulation.
