Hi

We already have a 100mm diameter hole for the existing cooker hood ducting but the kitchen is being replaced and we're getting a new hood.

All the hoods we've seen seem to want 120 or 150mm diameter ducting.

The hole for our existing ducting is in the ceiling void. If we want it enlarged for bigger ducting it would be difficult to drill from inside.

Are there any problems to be had from enlarging the hole from outside and then pushing the bigger ducting in from outside?

Cheers for any help!
