Hi this is my first post so go easy.
I purchased an element for my bosch washing machine from ebay not a genuine part. It said it would fit my model, so I fitted it and it felt quite easy to push in I tightened the nut and put it all back together, started the machine and it started leaking. So I found one side of the element had been pushed out so took it out and could see that the rubber had started to push over the bottom clamp. So I phone the company that I bought it off and first of all the chap said there wasnt any rubber on it and then once I explained how it worked he said it has been over tightened!! I couldn't believe my ears. So my question is can you over tighten the nut??
Think he just doesn't want to send me a replacement
kind regards
charlie
