Can you use standard espag handles on a tilt and turn window (uPVC)?

Hi all

I want to replace the handles on a couple of tilt and turn windows I have. They're not very big windows... Can I use espag handles on them or must I used the specific t&t handles. I appreciate that the handles will need to be able to turn 180 degrees, but aside from that is there anything else special about the t&t handles?

Espag handles are no good. Designed for 90 opening.. they are too lightweight too.
