Dear All,

I have been slowly setting up an elite 64. Everything works as I want except for one thing. When I leave the house I set the alarm with the Tag assigned to my user account. The system arms and all is well. However, when I return, I would like to simply swipe the tag to disarm the system, but this does not work, I have to use my code twice to disarm. Please see the event log for the last arm and disarm below:

Any help offered is much appreciated.

Cheers.

Just to add, I have changed all users accounts to just have access to areas A and B as these are the only 2 I use. But not sure if this is the fix?

And a little more info:

AREA A - TIMED EXIT
Zone 09 = Side Door Contact Entry
Zone 14 = Keypad

AREA B - INSTANT
Zone 10 = PIR Kitchen Side Living Room
Zone 11 = PIR Front Door Side Living Room
Zone 12 = PIR Top of Stairs
Zone 13 = Bell box

Thanks,

AN

wireless keypad?

try again, press a button then present tag
Yes it's a wireless keypad.

When I set, I hit the UP button to wake it up then swipe tag and alarm sets. When I reenter the house the door contact wakes the key pad and I try to swipe the tag but cant remember if I have ever hit a key. I will try again tm and make sure I hit a key first and report back here. Thank you.

It looks like you are using areas when part arms may be a better option?

From the log it looks like you are entering your code to disarm each area separately and hence entering it twice. You may be better to have all zones in the same area and if you need to part arm set that up unless there is a specific reason you need or want to use areas.

Also check the following setting which can prevent disarming with a tag:

User Options>User Locked By>Untick Cst O/P 2.B-CODE

Hi

I separated the keypad and the door contact as they are both in the same area which is also the entrance/exit and I originally thought the PIR's were affecting the door contact and thus the arming, but I will try to put everything in area A and see what that does.

The option you mention is un checked in the user config for both the users on the system, are you saying it should be checked, or check that its unchecked?

Thanks

Check that the option is unticked - it sounds like it already is so you can discount that but this catches a few people out.

I think you should put everything in to one area and if a PIR is crossed as you enter or exit set it as Guard Access.

Dear All,

Thank you so much for your help.

I moved everything to one area. Then tried disarming after touching a button to wake the panel and HEY PRESTO everything works perfectly.

Your legend remains alive and I am forever in your debt!

hmm...

Cst O/P 2.B-CODE is to do with the regulations and stops the code option being used when the system is entry, ie must use a tag.
This isnt needed for domestics and self installs as it wont be a graded system.

What is the keypad programming?

for example if a User has access to areas A and B and no code or tag restrictions
zones in area A or B and not both (in both they will not function correctly
then the keypad is the next thing that controls the arming and disarming.

local arming and disarming for example needs the areas assigned to the keypad for them to work.

agree that should be in area A and use part sets for the house
