The forum has a memory option when typing replies. It saves what you are doing every minute or so, and you can leave a post, and it'll still be there for you to resume later. The trick is to delete the post, press return a couple of times, and leave that to be saved.

You cannot make, save or post an empty post. A couple of returns is an empty post.

BTW, you cannot paste new images into a post in normal edit mode, you need to use the 'more options' mode.
