Canon Camberley Driving Me Mad!!!!!

Hi,
I have a twin cavity canon camberley gas cooker.
When the main oven is lit, the igniter keeps sparking.
Is there a simple solution to this problem that I could undertake?
Please let me know if this would be a corgi man/woman only job

Electrode has a hairline crack in it/lead damaged not taking signal back that flame is lit. or electrode not sitting in flame properly
