Can't close and lock Rehau Patio Doors

I wonder if someone might be able to help me. I have a pair of Rehau Tilt & Slide Patio Doors that I know are at least 6 years old and more likely much older.

They have always been a little difficult to close and usually have had to put my foot on the bottom to engage the bolts and move the handle from 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock to lock it.

I have have just had some rather ham fisted decorators in and now I can't engage the bolts on both sides at once. The handle now has a mind of it's own and now sits at 3 o'clock. I'm assuming the lock has 'rounded off' somehow but it has me stumped.

My questions are....
How do I take it apart?
Can I get spares?
Does anyone work near St Albans who would like the job?

Thanks for the Web Sites, plucked up the courage yesterday to dismantle it and found the 'gearbox' was now in two pieces, no wonder it didn't work too well.

Spoke to the second company this morning and now I have a new one on way to me.

Now to see if I can fit it!
