can't get hot water and heating to work again, please help!

Well I'd just like to post an update. Since my last post I never managed to get the lower radiators on, in desperation I today turned off the boiler, reversed the CH pump and ran it for 5 mins. Returned the system back to normal, fired up the boiler and all the radiators now work! Just wanted to share in case anyone else runs out of options
