Can't get tap handle off

I can't get the top of my bath taps off to be able to change the cartridge. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing.
Please have a look at the photo.
I have removed the small cap and unscrewed the pin inside using an Allen key. I thought the top would then come off but it does not. Is there anything else I can do? I have just put a bit of WD40 in there to see if that helps but I don't want to force and break it.

Gently waggle it about to see if if frees it. Check there is not a smaller grub screw inside the hole. It does happen.
You could try gently levering it up with 2 flat bladed screwdrivers but run the risk of marking the surfaces.

Give it some vibration by tapping it using a hammer while having a towel protecting it. Try prying gently in the gap.

It seems to be getting a bit looser but not yet!
