Hi there,

We are having a bit of a shift around in our kitchen and are moving the sink over to be next to our washing machine. However i think we have a weird setup or something, i can't for the life of me get the old waste pipe off.

There is the large main pipe coming in from outside which is somehow converted into the current washing machine waste pipe, there is a lot of 'stuff' all over the join so i cant really see whats going on.

Does anyone know how the large exterior pipe normally connects to the internal pipes? The material it's made from is not plastic, it's something else.

I would try to just connect to the bit of the washing machine pipe that was left but it is not the right size, the sink and all the waste pipes i have are 40mm

I do have some photos but cant seem to upload them, sorry.

Thanks for any help/advice you can give.

Afraid you're probably going to have to try a bit harder to upload those pictures, try putting them in Photobucket then linking to them from here to there using
