I have just had a french door temporary fitted where a window used to be.

The door fitter said that your handyman guy who knocked out the brick work which was below the window
has to put in a Canterbury Spa, Threshold Board and render this.

What does this jargon mean, what is a Canterbury Spa.
From searching on the web it is something to do with our pebble dashed walls!?

Can anyone help.

Thanks

H.

I presume he/you mean Canterbury Spar, which is crushed aggregate, used in pebbledashing (rendering).

It also goes under the name Durite/Canterbury Spar. Normally sold in 25kg bags.

Roughcaster.
