Got some capping and capping nails. Now just need to out the two together. Should the nail go through the PVC capping or should I nail right on the edge of the capping so that the capping nail washer grips the capping. Steve.

Nail through the capping making sure cables are well clear.
and does the cable need any other form of support? such as cable clips? Steve.
Na, the capping will hold the cable.

please don't forget to use goggles as these nails are hardened and can cause nasty bits to fly when hit..
might want to use a pair of long nose pliers as well..
