A quality battery.....was fitted to many makes from the start, including Vauxhall at one time.

it looks like the equivalent is now a Varta silver

100AH, not very cheap

It's still a long time to leave a battery unattended John, so it's still doing well.
So long as it starts the car after say 10 days, it's fine but the moment it seems grumpy I'd change it.
I guess it all depends on whether it's your only car, and if it's imperative that it does start on demand.

My Varta battery is 10 years old and still going strong. Will definitely look for another Varta when the time comes.

Thanks, I emailed Varta with the code of the old one, and they have given me the full and short code of the current equivalent.
