Recheck the connections on the battery leads to make sure any suplementary wires/contacts are good. As you've replaced the battery; that's the immediate area to recheck.
 
Turn the ignition and engine off a few times - I guess the EPS lamp is on? This could reset the system.
EPS systems need maximum battery voltage for them to reset, but this should happen automatically when the engine has run for a while.
Check the fuses too!

May be some wire problem in your car. Check it from good mechanic. They will check the issue and repair it.
