Car revs question

Of course, for the real win...

...a nice electric motor that's so smooth you won't even be able to tell whether it's doing 100 RPM or 10,000 RPM and torque that makes the gruntiest of diesels look like mopeds!:p

No thanks, I'll stick to my refuel almost anywhere, in an instant, with decent range between - diesel.

They have "fuel gauges" you know? Anyone stupid enough to run out of battery would also run out of diesel.

But, a diesel with twice the range, only half as likely to run out. I have never in fact run out, but should I do so, a gallon of fuel in container, can easily be sourced. If your milk float ran out of fuel, you are stuck - no simple gallon can for you..

Yes, electricity is really hard to find. Hardly anywhere has electricity...

Driving until there is no fuel left is a user failure, unrelated to the capacity of the fuel tank.

I have never in fact run out
The same for most people. Capacity of fuel tank / battery is irrelevant as most people would refuel or recharge before it says nothing left.

If morons decide to drive for miles with low fuel / low battery warnings displayed and drive past multiple refuelling / recharging locations then they get what they deserve - a big bill and a long wait for roadside recovery.
You could given them a vehicle with a 1000 litre fuel tank and they would still run it down to nothing and then complain when it stops.

The longer the refuelling delay, the more inclined one becomes, to risk running out.
