Well the value of scrap metal is supposed to be quite high at the moment so you could probably be looking at £100ish! It all depends how dodgy the person collecting the car is! If your scrapping it though does it really matter how much you get for it? I paid someone £30 last week to take a car away just to get it gone!

It depends on the scrap yard that buys your car. Some pay a fixed price for a complete car, usually about £75. Some buy the car by the weight of it and pay about £70/ton. You car will weigh about 1250 kilos so expect about £100 that way.
You will of course get less if you can't get it to the scrappy and someone has to uplift it.

thanx for your replys..... just a general question really im pondering whether to scrap it or sell it as parts thanx again

If you sell the parts, you will be left with a lot that is in your way. Depends how much room you have & how long it takes to sell the bits.

In my experience, if you can get a car to the scrapyard yourself, they will pay for it, but if they collect it they may charge you. I got 50 drinking vouchers for our old Escort that only just made it to the yard.

They would probably charge more to collect the remains after all the good bits have been stripped, 'cos they can't sell those bits themselves.

Or you could put the whole thing up on fleabay, buyer collects...
