Car stereo keeps losing power/rebooting

I’m going to contact a local car stereo firm this week, but one other issue I’ve discovered is that the stereo only comes on if you’ve got the ignition turned to the first notch.

On my car, and on all other cars we’ve owned, you can switch the stereo on without even having the keys inserted.

Must all be linked to the same problem.

Depends on model of car. Some can be turned on without ingtion on but only stay on for a limited time ,to save battery if forget to turn off.
Some models auxiliary must be turned on before radio will work
