Car wishbone problem

Car has been pulling to the right. Took to garage and wishbone and ball joint were replaced on near side. MoT completed 25/6 no advisories or fail (having check MoT spec the wishbone would have been checked). Vehicle no driven for a we and then no more than 20miles. Still pulling to the right but not as much. Took back to dealership where purchased (2nd hand) as under warranty and wanted steering sensor checked. Instantly received a video saying that the wishbone was faulty. Charged £100 for the trouble. Took back to garage who fitted the wishbone - said not faulty and showed me the rubber joints etc. Dealership still saying it is faulty and needs replacing and refusing to look at anything else. Three people have looked at this in a month and only one says it is faulty. What are my options now? Advice please.

Has the car any history of collision in the past?
Here's hoping the wishbone was of good OE quality when it was replaced........Febi Bilstein maybe, not some rubbish hewn from old railway lines!
That's probably what the main dealer is going on about.
The car needs to be set up on a laser tracking machine, with an experienced user.

What fault are the dealership identifying? Ball joint? Rubber bushes? Other ?

Was the wishbone changed because of the pulling? Is there another fault and the wishbone wasn't the issue ?

Hi,

There's no record of any accident damage or any obvious signs of repair. All bolts under the bonnet area have no signs of being undone/replaced.

The seller wasn't a main dealer of Renault but a second hand outlet owned by a main dealer of another brand.

They're just saying its faulty as there's excessive play in the joints where the rubber bushes are. Garage who fitted it has reinspected it as they would have replaced it. They've looked at it and shown me the parts under the vehicle. Pointing out all the bits. Vehicle went in due yo pulling to the right and identified ball joint was at fault. This was replaced but also identifed problems with the wishbone. The installer has also looked around all of the suspension and wheel areas to find any other fault but can't find anything.

What is don't get is that the dealer is saying the part is at fault despite it being MoT'd with this part the week before and the car having done about 10miles in between. Two out of the three inspections say there is no problem with it.

What make, model and year is the car?

Where did you buy the car from? What type of business is it, a dealership? If so, for what brand?

What type of garage did you take the car to to get it repaired? Was it an independent specialist for your car brand? What parts have they fitted, and are they OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) spec?

Different manufacturer's dealership's used car outlet was the seller.
Repaired at independent. They OEM spec but not brand used by Renault.
Just run a vehicle history check and no accidents recorded.

Anyway ...

Originally, when you discovered the fault, if it was under warranty, you should have taken it back to them to try and get it repaired under warranty.

As you've had it repaired by an independent, if it's still faulty, i.e. pulls to the right, then really they should be taking it back and looking at it again for you, as they have not fixed the problem.

The wishbone and wheel bearing weren't covered by warranty as it was wear and tear.

They were asked to investigate it further and immediately claimed it was the wishbone.
