Ollski, I know where to position it for an appliance test (On all appliances) it's just to obtain the ambient room levels that are a mystery to me..

Chris... yes it does matter.. I suffer with a bad back. If I have to bend down then the price goes up 20 Groats.

Aren't all probes open ended? Can't see much point in one that isn't.
