How come that flues on boilers have strict rules on positioning
not to close to windows or doors because of carbonmonoxide
Which is only right. but the wife can be there in the kitchen
doing the sunday lunch with the oven full blast and 4 rings ontop
doing he same. What I would like to know and I can only guess is where does that cabonmonoxide go

you only get carbonmonoxide, from incomplete combustion.YELLOW FLAME.
blue flame,ok,only producing carbondioxide & water vapour,
have u got second gas appliance in kitchen,is it open flued : :?:
have u got openable window
if your worried get co2 alarm.get cooker serviced

cookers are only intended to be on for short periods of time burning a fraction of what the boiler does. your adventitious ventilation would take care of that quite easily before they ran out of oxygen and began burning co

Your wife on the other hand apparantly having lungs full of roast beef and yorkshire pudding and co should seek medical attention

After all that carbonmonoxide beef and yorkshire the wife gone for a
lie down .But I must say thou that is just the sort of hummer I was expecting from this Forum
Thanks Guys

How come oil boilers dont have a blue flame and have a yellow/orange flame when burning properly?

Thats not the oil, its the shrimp's that get sucked up with it.
