Hello,

The carpet on the nearer side is coming loose from the metal transition strip and fraying where is attached to the transition strip. What is the best way to fix this? We've tried gathering and tucking more of it under but after some trampling around it comes loose again.

How is the transition strip attached to the floor (wooden floor underneath)? Are the metal spikes shown in the second photo all part of the same transition strip piece? Do we get a wider transition strip? Maybe a wood one? We'd have to notch corners in it to fit around the corners of the door frame?

Strip is nailed to floor.
Try lifting the spikes up to grip carpet.
If you need to make a better fixing buy some clear stixall mastic and run along.
Install carpet. That will hold carpet together and stick it

Could do with a new twin doortrim. To be honest ring a local carpet fitter. Prob cost £30-40 to sort it amd he would use a knee kicker to fit it correctly
