I fitted carpet and vinyl throughout my property 11 years ago and am going to replace the worn out ones.
Before I managed with a carpet stretcher and knife and scissors.

I saw some youtube videos where the fitter used a carpet edge cutter.

The Roberts Deluxe carpet trimmer is about £67. I do not mind paying for good tools.
How do you rate it?

B&Q sell a vinyl and carpet cutter for £15, but I am not sure if this will any good.

You need a decent steel one, the Robert’s looks much better quality , you can always sell it on when finished .

The blade appears to be the same as would fit in a stanley knife - which I suspect is used by most carpet fitters.
Just buy a pack of hooked blades.

Do you have a decent knee kicker. Very important a carpet is stretched correctly or you won’t beable to vac it properly
