Carpet grippers moved for fitted cupboard ?

I am getting a fitted cupboard tommorrow , I have been asked to pull up the carpet but no mention of the grippers . On calling the shop who are fitting , they were not helpful. Just said it was up to me , but the carpenter would not remove them if I left them . Do I need to take them up ? They look quite sternly nailed down , so don't want the carpenter turning up and expecting me to remove them there and then on my own with two babies in tow.

Not much of a chippy if he won't shift the grippers....it'll take him all of 5 minutes!

Very easily lifted, only fixed with short nails.

Agree with above, very easy to take up as long as the original fitter didn't glue them down
