I have had some laminate fitted in my kitchen and will soon be having the carpet done in the adjoining room. I have noticed that the laminate has been installed too far into the other room, i.e. it sticks out under the door when it is closed. Will a carpet fitter be able to trim this back when he fits the carpet? I am worried that he wont do that and the joining trim will just be left sticking out from under the door!

It is possible to correct the error but not all carpet fitters will carry the equipment to do it properly, best to speak to your fitter before he arrives and explain the problem.
