Hi, getting my carpet fitted in the bedroom but putting in the grippers and underlay myself. Id like 12mm mainly just for the added sound barrier to underneath room. Is 12mm ok or should i get 10mm? I havent chosen the thicket carpet in the world cos they had a large off cut that was good and meet my needs. Plus i have cut it to a 3rd of the price. Sadly thats more decorating for me.

Also is it 10mm gap for gripper rods between wall and rod? have read 7mm?

Thank you
