Cast iron gutter repair/refurb

I wouldn't line it, I'd repair it properly. Cast iron gutter lengths are usually bolted together and have putty in the joins. Undo or cut off the bolt, remove the complete section, chip off the old putty with a chisel, put on new putty and bolt it back in place.

C.I gutters are heavy enough without laying lead in them - maybe use flashband.

I just want a short term fix to get through a couple of winters.

Flashband? I'll google it. What about sealant? Any ideas?

Why not do the same as you did before?
It lasted 3 years which is longer than you now require.
As for lead, apart from weight being a prohibitory factor, it's a very expensive short term fix.
