In short....v short...Makes you believe if you jump through enough hoops all of your life,and obey God...Your soul ends up in heaven for eternity...Otherwise it is hell...Along with all the un baptised babies...Now that is ""destroyed mind"" ideas.

What does it matter if you go to heaven or not.
If believing in Christ makes life better on earth why worry about what comes next.
The facts are that far from destoying lives, believers in Christianity lead healthier and more fulfilled lives than non believers.

That is true but children are also abused by non Christians, anyway you are still putting up strawmen.
Any person abusing children or covering up abuse cannot be considered Christian so i don't know what point you are trying to make.
True Christianity is based on scripture and not corporate religious institutions.

You make it sound like it's force-fed to them.
While that may be true of some, those people eventually become adults, and can then decide for themselves, can't they?

Plus, it doesn't take into account those who actively seek such "teachings" post-childhood.
As I said before, many, many people want to believe in something, to feel part of something.
