Caulk around window?

New extension with UPVC windows.

Should I caulk around windows then paint or paint and then Silicone or something else ?

I have just had new windows fitted, I said I would finish off the inside.
I have plastered up to the frame, painted & is brill.

There is no gap, maybe just hairline but would think a hairline crack will develop at some point as plaster don't stick to windows.

UPVC expands and contracts with temperature changes, so the gap will increase in time, a flexible caulk bead would prevent the gap opening up.
