cavity closure - what to do

Hi i have th ebrick work done for a porch - above and to the side of cavity will be windows -

do i need to close the cavity? should i jiust get cavity closures - i have some expanding foam/dpc left over - could i improvisE?

I make my own with double foil sided celotex, dpc and secure with celotex wedges and fix with foam.
