Hi chaps,

I am in the middle of renevating my bathroom. I have got rid of the old window board and would like to tile the window reveals. After removing the old window board i am now left with the cavity wall, inner leaft exposed and wooden window the external wall. The wooden window has a horizontal groove where the old window board slotted in place.

Does anybody know what material i shouls now use to put down instead of the old window board to allow me to tile? This will hopefully sit on the internal wall and fix in the groove of the window on the external wall.

Thanks in advance

Tom

you could dab a 9.5mm plasterboard onto the masonry, this will carry the cavity easily, or you could trim it slightly so that it will fit into the groove.
