Yes the training centre when you sat the exam.

I did 5 day training leading up to my 2 day ccn1 exam. Practial and theory.

Did you just turn up and start the paper??

I did mine at NESCOT in surrey, well worth it.

Hi ive passed the practical .I had two exams for theory ccn1 ive passed the first one ,but failed the second .
There was no training leading up to the exam ,appart from the college work which hasnt touch the questions in the exam ,

We were told to read the viper book for our studying???

Part 2 is open book .You would need to have some memort to read the viper book and remmber it .

The problem i found was that a lot of questions were not in the book.

Unless you can tell me otherwise,he are some that i remmbered

where do you site the hearth notice.

cooler plate should be installed where on gas fires

what height do you site a room thermostat and on what wall internal or external.

what other control does the same operation as the venturi on a water heater

what is the air requirements for high and low level for a room sealed appliance in compartment to outside air 27kw..

Tony..

Should of been many other books in the room Tony.
Hearth notice, with hearth but best practice with gas meter
ventilation, 10cm high and 20cm low per input kw
r/stat, about 1.5m on wall out of sun and not above a rad

When do you do a re-sit or have you had a referal

Preperation, Preparation, Preperation. Did you not read ANY books?

Since when have they been asking questions about room stats on ccn1

use the following website to help you revise for your upcoming exams. www.naturalgasonline.co.uk.

And read every question at least 3 times, then answer it. The questions aren't hard but the way their written makes hard reading

hope this helps

As far as I remember it the questions were actually in order that the information was presented in the bs reference books so it was fairly easy to find. Also use the books that they use in the exam for reference, in my case it was citb books and after a few read throughs it was fairly easy to know the section where you could find the information you were looking for.

If it is an open paper, then i really can't see how you managed that. No offense but ALL the questions are in the book, it's just a matter of finding them and answering exactly what the book(s) say.

I had to do a renewal a few month's back and although the question's seemed a lot harder this time round, many being pointless 'specialist' situation's, they were all in the books provided sat infront of me?

Did they supply you with the British standards etc?

Sam

As for the answers being in the book they are also in order so once you find the first answer just keep reading and answering have never seen them go back .

First ACS i done back in 97 was approx a thousand questions and just the theory part could be 2 and a half days. And the practical the same. Mind you that was for the core and 5 modules
