Ceiling finishes

Any one can help ?

I am going to make finishes of bare plaster board ceiling with out plastering. I am thinking of put Artex on directly.
Please help, what should I prepare first before Artex?

The best way to prepare for artex is to bury your head in the sand to avoid the torrent of abuse headed your way.

well, this is a DIY site You need to fill and tape the joins with artex tape . and any screwholes . Then apply and pattern ...probably a website dedicated to it ...google artex, or ask @ a decorators trade shop

I dont know why people hate artex so much..I find its really useful on an uneven ceiling it hides all manner of imperfections !
If a subbtle pattern is used such a 'leather' it can look quite pleasing to the eye.
Back in the 80;s and early 90's we were kept busy 7 days a week artexing ! next to no call for it nowdays
