Help,

I am trying to put up new lighting in my living room in which there are
2 Light Fittings
2 Light Switches

There are 5 sets of bundles Red/Black/Green-Yellow wires (which are L-N-E) in the cieling.

I realize that I should have checked how it was wired first, but stupid me, did not. Now, I can't get the lights to work properly. I've identified the switch live wire and marked it by using a circuit tester.

I can get the lights to come on by wiring the switch-live to the light live, all the reds bundled together, all the earths to a common earth terminal, but the switch then doesn't work. Nor strangely does the kitchen light, though the dining room light does work.

I guess where I'm confused is what wires need to go where. I've made a right mess of this and my wife is a bit tired of me not getting this work properly! Please help!!!!!!!
