could someone tell me how i take this light down/off so i can check the starter so i can check it as the light is flashing!

sorry i should add - x2 new kitchen light switches fitted yestersay x1 ok and ceiling light works . fitted second switch and light started flashing and dont know what the problem is. pictures show the second switches wires? is it done correctly? be kind im a women on my own learning as i go!!!

Two wires loose/not connected, connect one each into the bottom two terminals. Power off first.

And the both switch plates need to be earthed.

sorry to sound stoopid but do i put the ones youve pointed too into the ones with the black and brown wires?

and...... how do i earth!?

In with the black and grey.

Turn the power off first.

Just fit a small piece of earth wire from the back box earth terminal to the switch plate earth terminal.

put the black in with the black and the red in with the grey

And the both switch plates need to be earthed.

I was struggling to see is the switches have metal front plates.
If they are metal then yes they do require an earth wire.

If they are not metal then the don't require an earth wire
