Celling Switch

Hi,

I’m in the process of fitting a new ceiling witch in my bathroom. This is the first time ive ever attempted anything like this, so im a little nervous.

I have switched all the power off from the fuse box. I have a new one way draw string switch from B&Q, i have knocked out an area on the base to allow the cables to pass through and it has been secured to the ceiling.

Now i have 3 wires coming through the ceiling:

- Green + Yellow
- Red
- Black

One the actual switch i have 3 holes, each is marked with L1, L2 and COM. Which wires should go into which hole??

earth to earth terminal or choc block for future, (make sure its sleaved). red to com, black to L1. of course, chances are you would have known this if you looked at previous switch
