Cement Render + Waterproofer + Sharp Sand = Basement Wall

To do both walls of the basement it took me about 2 days, but that was being lazy, I could have done it in a day to be honest.

The drill you've got should be fine. SDS is basically the design of the drill and bits that fit to it.

This is the sort of thing you're after http://www.screwfix.com/p/flat-breaker-chisel-18in/21178?_requestid=215747

Make sure drill is set on hammer and not drill and you should make light work of the rest of it.

I'll post a picture of my trickle vents soon (which still haven't gone in !)

Ok mine is a hammer drill but it is not suitable for chisel as it will rotate.

But you got me thinking, maybe I should get SDS drill for only £50 and 14mm chisel is included or buy bigger 40mm chisel separately.

Just checked the hire cost, it's not cheap, around £20-25 a day.

I would.

Personally I'd spend a bit extra and get a reputable brand. Mines dewalt and didn't come cheap, but its lasted
