I need to add an additional radiator in a ground floor extension to my house, the rest of the two story house is plumbed in 15mm copper pipe with the boiler on the first floor. Can I add the extra radiator using small bore piping? Will doing this possibly upset the balance of the system? Any help appreciated. Thanks Rod

Yes and yes. It would be difficult to balance the system to get adequate flow to the microbore fed radiator. You'll have to close down all the lock-shield valves on the 15mm fed rads. Use 10mm rather than 8mm to minimise the problem, although even this might be problematical if the run is long or the load high.
