I have a Myson Apollo Boiler and when I've got the pump on high I can hear the water being pumped round the system this noise is acompanied by a high pitch wistle, If I turn the pump down the wistle and rushing water sound goes away, Will this cause long term problems?

No, not unless having the pump on a high setting causes air to be drawn into the vent pipe and into the system or opposite pumping over into the feed/expansion tank, both oxygenate the water and cause loads of problems.
