My pump has stopped working on my central heating system after a trouble free 16 year service. The problem is I dont seem to have a spanner big enough adjustable or not for the large nuts on the top and bottom of the pump. This seems to be a general size across most pumps. obviously I need to purchase a spanner but what size???
Also if they prove to stubborn to move I wont be able to isolate the water supply to the pump and would have to remove the 22mm compression joints above and below. would this mean just draining the CH system or would I have to turn the whole water supply off.
Sorry I should have explained its not a combi system ie: has a hot water tank.... thanks a very novice Dave
