hi,
i need central heating fitted to my house, i currently only have a emersion boiler (for hot water) and no central heating.

i know about combi boilers but have head you lose water pressure.

just wanted to know what other type pof systems are out there and whats the pro's and con's

thanks

propity info, 3 bed semi, a few mates have new builds, with a water tank for hot water (kinda like what ive got) but still have rads, ive no gas supply to the house (yet) so was thinking about a electric boiler but i dont know anyone who has one so dont know what they are like, my dads got a combi and crap water pressure.

Think again.
If there is gas available, having gas put in (even if this means digging up the drive to get a new supply from the road) will still be far cheaper than the immensely high running costs of an electric boiler.

Electric boiler = similar installation costs to a gas one, but the running costs will be at least 5x higher.

hi, i said a 3bed semi, i ment a 3 bed terrece. i intend to get a gas supply, its £500. i dont know much about water pressure but when using hot water in my dads house (he has a combi) it is verrrrry slow, also if using cold water upstairs and someone down stairs puts the cold tap on, it practicly stops up stairs. someone in work mentiond a condenser boiler, whats the difference? also ive also thought about just having under floor heating
