Will turning off the mains water supply whilst I am on holiday (7 days) affect my central heating system? I want to keep the house warm but I am unsure about turning off the stop cock. I have a Potterton Netaheat boiler with a small expansion tank in the loft.

I want to turn off the stop cock to avoid and major pipe burst.

No.
Turn off stop cock and drain taps. Hopefully your boiler will remain pressurised for the 7 days.
