Hi Guys

I have a British Gas 330 Condensing boiler, we recently drained the system and put a new rad on in the bathroom, we have now refilled the system and bleed all the rads, when we turn the boiler back on you hear it start up it begins to pump the water and then comes up with a F5 Error and stops pumping any ideas?

p.s we did remove the gas oven would this have anything to do with it?

thanks

Carl

I don't know what that boiler really is, but in general, bleed the pump by undoing its centre screw, and make sure that the Automatic Air Vent cap is left open. Than looks like a car typre valve cap and is usually behind the pump.
If that doesn't work after a couple of attempts, try with the pressure a little higher than normal, say 1.5 bar.

ive seen british gas boilers. from the outside they look exactly the same as the new glowworm hx range.

Its a gloworm hxi but you can alter the output by adjusting the fan speed, can 't remember the code but very difficult to get the air out of. Leave the boiler stat on the frost setting until it begins to circulate. There is a temperature cut out inside the boiler on the return if this has gone it will need to be reset. May need a torx screwdriver and someone who is competent.
