We have a solid fuel stove with a back boiler that runs the central heating, with 5 radiators attached (small terraced house) - bathroom and three rooms upstairs, one kitchen radiator downstairs.

The bathroom and one room upstairs are heating perfectly, the remaining radiators are cold. We have put cleaner in the system, drained and refilled, bled all radiators and had each radiator off to hose out the accumulated sludge, and tried balancing the system as best we can but still no luck.

The manifolds can be seen in the photo: I tried to trace each flow and return and roughly worked out which went where. I didn't know why there were five radiators and six sets of connections but it turns out that the one flow outlet is connected directly back to the return - could this be affecting overall flow in the system?

Any other ideas? Is there any way of draining the system and disconnecting and cleaning each radiator pipe, or is this a really stupid idea?

Thank you!
