CH pipes making noise

Hi All,

I hope someone can help. I have a Vaillant Ecotec Plus combi boiler, the hot water is on mains pressure and the central heating is sealed with no tanks in the loft.

about a month ago the pipes of the central heating started creaking whenever the pump turns on, or after the domestic hot water is turned off in the bathroom/kitchen.

It almost sounds like an expansion/contraction noise that only lasts a second or 2. Is this something to be worried about?

All my radiators have been bled and i have tried lowering and raising the pressure of the CH circuit within the safe/grey band on the pressure guage.

Thanks for your help

Nothing to worry about. As long as your system works ok.Is probably as you say and you could track it down and secure pipe/rad or whatever is causing slight movement.

Thanks gasman, time to start looking for it...

Im just concerned the expansion and contraction will cause a leak to occur, do you think this is likely?
