i am sorry if this topic has been covered before but
i have a 16 year old Potterton gas fired boiler (sorry i don't really know alot more about it than that), its being replaced in the new year but we need to limp it through for another few months however
in the recent cold weather (it did it last winter also but has been fine when the temperature goes up a little) when the CH comes on either on timer or manually it will not fire correctly and the thermostat clicks on an off constantly, with the boiler firing up and turning off over and over kind of annoying at 6 in the morning
the only way to stop it seems to be to get the system warm by turning on the HW for half hour or so and then it will eventually fire for CH.
any help would be great thanks
