Hi - can someone help me with the Challenger 8 alarm.

The alarm went off yesterday and the missus cancelled it by pressing too many buttons so I think she has activated the tamper thing? (I'm not familiar with alarms).

Anyway there is a yellow led button now lit and I cant seem to reset the alarm. I have all the codes but when I press hash it doesn't reset.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

post a picture of the panel as challenger is a CEF branded panel more than like to be a 800L panel what does it say at the side of the yellow light ? or in the row of lights what number light is it ?

Better to ask if the lights are vertical or horizontal, CEF had the Challenger 8 both ways if my memory serves.

Thanks fo rth ereply.

The panel is a CEF AP28 with two rows of horixontal lights.

In the bottom row there are two yellow lights - one says "day" and the other "24h". When I use the panel normally the day light is on unless the alarm is armed.

Its the 24h one that is on that I cant fix. I took the front off the main panel and reset it back to normal using the code but the 24h light came on shortly after and the wall panel was buzzing.

I'm thinking that the 24h light is something to do with tampering but the manual is uncelar about it.

Hope you can help.
