i am changing a 2way switch to a newer one unfortunately the old one had a white wire hooked to 2 posts and the other side had a red wire and black ground hooked to the other 2 posts or screws on the opposite side the new switch has 5 posts , power runs thru the white one i can get the light on but the switch won't turn it off ive tried every combination i was told the switch i bouhgt was the correct one the black wire goes to the green , i think there is a tab on the left side like a traveler hope someone can help
