changing diesel fuel filter 1.9 citroen

Hello
Im new to this diesel lark. Can you explain how to change the diesel fuel filter on my 2003 Citroen c15 1.9 diesel van.
Its mounted on the engine at the end of the rocker cover, is it just a matter of undoing it and replacing the filter inside?
I believe theres some sort of addative you add to the filter after you have replaced it (cleans the system maybe) do you know anything about this?

pretty much,

just make sure you clean the OUTSIDE of the filter case first to stop any dirt getting in it (I am told is the biggest killer of the injector pump) and replace the seal (came in the kit for my 406)

any addatives usually go in a tank of fuel.

you will need to prime the filter afterwards, a rubber bulb type pump on mine, would think it the same on a citroen. otherwise you will flatten the battery trying to start it.

after starting, run it for a few miutes to get any residual air out of the system.
