Hi

I've got a old switch socket that used to have a storage heater on it .
I'd like to be able to use this as a standard plug socket, but the socket
is on a separate fuse box which only kicks in during economy time. Is
it possible to change this , and if so how.

Thanks for any help.

You would need to disconnect it at the offpeak fuse box and move the cable onto a spare way on the main fuse box
also
you'll need to make sure the curcuit is RCD oprotected (at the fusebox end) and you'll need to notify the local authority as it will effectively be adding a new circuit. - thats if you are in England or Wales.

Thanks

Since I no longer have any storage heaters , and my other fuse box is
already full, is it possible to change the economy fuse box to run at all
times (obviously no on cheap rate)?
